The strength of the traditional trouser suit lies in its restraint. However, there are still ways for you to elevate this classic look. Instead of wearing traditional black trousers to the office try a different style or colour, if you favour wide leg suit trousers try experimenting with a closer fitting cut or vice versa. Cropped, fitted suit trousers with pointed courts and a matching blazer will create a business suit look that wouldn’t be out of place at fashion week.
The Sarah Bond Giger Sailor Pants (seen here with the matching Sarah Bond Night Rider Jacket) play with light and shadows and are cut from a beautiful crepe fabric. The textured waistband works its magic through a beautiful sheen, whilst the bottom silk organza panels bring a touch of romance to your look.
A simple to way to elevate the pieces you already have hanging in your wardrobe is to invest in some new accessories. A classic silk scarf will quickly become your style signature; whether draped under the lapels of a quintessential mac or knotted into a eye-catching pussy bow over a body conscious, long sleeved top.
Choose a single, statement piece to to stand our from the crowd. Distinctive jewellery such as a timeless watch or an eye-catching cuff can turn a white shirt into a fashion statement. While a structured tote bag in a pop of colour can add polish to more relaxed fit pieces as well as an injection of fun into your outfit.
When it comes to everyday jewellery try simple pieces like statement rings, delicate necklaces or diamond studs. Jewellery is a great way to really show some of your personality. If you talk with you hands then delicate, stackable rings will add a little sparkle to your office conversations. Or, if rings aren't your thing, add texture to any top with a simple necklace.
